Our rapidly growing suburb needs better services, facilities and a welcome direction.
The Friends of Tranmere & Droughty Peninsula Association (FTDPA) began monthly meetings at the Sunshine Community Centre in November 2020.
This group is focused on bringing our Community together for some good old fashioned ‘community focused’ gatherings and representation.
If you’re a local, we would love to see you attend our next meeting.
Jan update 2022: Monthly meetings will also be available by Zoom.
Formally incorporated in March 2021, our Association aims to protect the landscape and enhance the lifestyle offered by the Tranmere & Droughty Point Peninsula.
Membership is open to all residents and friends of the Peninsula.

Tranmere
Tranmere is predominately a riverside residential suburb of executive homes which has rapidly grown around a culster of homes once known as Camelot Park. It is known for its quiet seclusion, scenic hilltops and foreshore access but is heavily reliant on private transport and the services and facilities offered by Howrah. The boundary between Howrah and Tranmere has blurred with time and some argue Tranmere begins where Howrah Point ends. Access to the city is through Howrah.
